Lost

^ Watch Me! ^

Lost – This is my first proper piece of moving image work and was the first addition to my Lore of the Land collection. It explores emotion and atmosphere through the use of sound, colour grading, and visual effects. It aims to evoke a haunting sense of being lost somewhere familiar, not knowing what is real, both in your own head and the world around you. Inspirations taken from the work of Sandra Bartocha and the folk lore of The-Will-O’-The-Wisp. It also contains aspects of the Romantic art movement, and was the piece that kickstarted my research into it.

I’m very proud of this piece, as it was the first proper moving image that I edited and messed with. It was also my first application of research, so it being the starting point of my later project, it holds a special place in my heart.
