Drama has been one of my true loves ever since I was a child. It called to me in a way no other thing did. I always wanted to escape off into some fantastical land. Having an author for a mother, naturally my first medium was writing, but I found it was too slow, the words couldn’t keep up with my brain, and there weren’t enough visuals. Then art, but it never really stuck, and the learning curve put me off (not to mention having a highly artistic brother). But drama was easy, simple, and immediate, it was the purest and truest way to really live the stories in my head. And so, drama GCSE and A Level were easy choices for me, and I’ve gone from role-play-games on the year 3 playground, to two and a half hour Shakespeare productions.
Bellow you can find a recording of my A Level Devised piece “Undine”, as well as information on a production of a rewritten “Hamlet” that I starred in as main character “Horatio” in Year 12.
